About DataShield

Automated data broker removal. Built by people who needed it.

Why We Built This

DataShield started the same way most useful tools do: we needed it ourselves. After spending hours digging through data broker sites like Spokeo and BeenVerified and finding our own home addresses, phone numbers, and family members listed publicly, we looked for a service to handle it automatically.

The existing options were either too expensive ($130-170/year), too limited in what they actually removed, or required a credit card just to see what was exposed. We figured there had to be a better way.

So we built one.

"DataShield was built by a team with backgrounds in operations and systems management. We know what it means to run something that actually works and we refuse to charge people $170/year for a product that only covers 60 sites."

What We Do Differently

Your Rights. Our Backbone.

DataShield operates within the privacy frameworks established by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). These regulations codify what we believe: that data privacy is a fundamental right and that every person deserves the ability to opt out of having their personal information bought and sold without consent.

Our Commitment

The data broker industry makes billions selling your personal information without your consent. State regulations like California's new DROP platform (launched January 2026) are starting to change that, but most people still need help getting their data off these sites right now.

DataShield exists to make that process simple, automated, and affordable.
